Classes

We specialize in Hot and Power yoga, and welcome beginning and advanced practitioners! All of our instructors are certified, and teach with an encouraging style. You are always welcome to ask questions before and after classes, but for now, look at the descriptions below to get an idea of what each class is like.

Hot – This is the classic, and our signature class. The room is heated to 105 degrees, which really helps to get you into the poses, and the instructor guides you through each pose in detail. Each pose is practiced seperately and we pay special attention to alignment and give adjustments. If you love an all-over deep stretch and a great sweat, this class is for you. If you are new to yoga, this is the best class to start with!

Power 1 – This is where we begin to link the poses together and practice them in a flowing style. Level 1 classes are great for new students, and this class will cover the foundation poses found in any Power class.

Power 2 – Take it to the next level! Power 2 is for practitioners who are comfortable in the Power 1 class and are ready for a more intense practice. This is Atlanta’s only Forrest style class, which means that more advanced techniques and poses will be taught.

Advanced – The Advanced classes are for practitioners who have three or more years of experience, and are ready to focus deeply on alignment and the strength it takes to do advanced poses with complete control. If you have any questions about trying this class, check with Bethany!

Sunflow Cardio – Wake up with energy, and start the day with Sun Salutations! This is an all-levels class, which means that everyone at every level is welcome!

For The People! – Just like the New York studio, this is a donation only class. That menas that you can donate the regular price of the class, or you can donate a dollar. It’s up to you. In turn, we donate to several charities, which will be posted here. This is a Power 1 class, so it’s great for beginners, and it’s our way of welcoming the community and supporting organizations that are important to us!

Yin – This one is slow, deep and steady. The poses will be held longer so that you stretch as deeply as possible, and you will often use more props than the other classes to assist you into the poses. There’s nothing else quite like it.

Caliente’! – A great many of our friends speak Spanish, and it was high time that Atlanta had one for them! This is our classic Hot class, but taught entirely in Spanish, and if you are thinking to yourself that a class taught in Spanish must sound fantastic, you’re right.

Silent- This class is exactly what the name implies; it’s our Hot class, but instead of the instructor describing the poses to you, they will do the pose for you to watch. You really do need to have taken enough Hot classes to be familiar with the sequence before you take this class, but once you are, it is truly a wonderfully quiet and peaceful way to begin the day.

Yoga Explorers! – This is our answer to kids yoga! The idea is for the parents to actually get to do the class while the kids can practice along with some fun thrown in. It’s cute, it’s loud, and it’s a great way for everybody to get some exercise! We recommend this for children 18 mos. thru 5, and we require one parent per child. The cost of the class is the same as any other class (the parent signs in, and the kids are included). The heat is turned off for this class, but absolutely still bring water, etc. Get ready for a roarin’ good time!

$10 BOOTCAMP – This is the only class that is different; it only runs in three-week sessions and you pay $10 for each session as you go (instead of using a yoga class). We wanted to eliminate those big up-front payments and the disappointment of when you miss a class. This way, you pay as you go, on your schedule, at a really fair price. The Bootcamp is done in bare-feet, on a yoga mat, and is a combination of Power Yoga mixed with traditional Bootcamp exercises. Your job is to set some goals, and blast through each session expecting to build strength and balance and increase your metabolism!
